Admissions Process

We appreciate your interest in being a part of Montrose Christian School. Our application process is designed to facilitate you learning about our school and us learning about you and your applicant. If you haven’t already done so, schedule a visit to tour our campus. We look forward to showing you what MCS has to offer your family.

Step 1: Campus Visit
MCS encourages interested families to schedule a tour to learn about our school. Visiting is the best way to absorb both the spiritual and academic atmosphere of the school. Registration for each new school year begins in December for re-enrollment and January for initial enrollment. After the initial enrollment period, applications are considered on a rolling basis as space allows. To make an appointment for a tours day, Tuesdays and Thursdays, please call (301) 770-5335.
Step 2: Apply
Step 3: Submit required supplemental documents
Step 4: Preliminary Review
Montrose Christian School administrators will review the completed application, evaluate potential openings and make preliminary decisions as to whether to make appointments for interviews and testing.
Step 5: Campus Day (Optional Day)
Students have the option to visit with us for a full day. The visiting student is paired with a student in the same grade to shadow for the day. The campus visit gives the incoming students a chance to experience and familiarize themselves with Montrose Christian School. Campus days will be scheduled through the admissions office.
Step 6: Testing
Entrance exams are administered at Montrose Christian School. For applicants in grades 1-12: Applicants are tested on their reading and math abilities for their current grade level. Testing will be scheduled through the admissions office.
Step 7: Interview and Decision Process
At your family interview, you will meet with a minimum of two (2) school administrators who will engage you in a discussion about your family, the applicant, your values and expectations of the school.
Step 8: Acceptance
While we accept qualified applicants throughout the year provided there is space available; we encourage early application submission and completion. Once you receive your notification of acceptance, you will have two weeks to submit the final documents.
