Admissions Process Print checklist

  1. Campus Visit

Prospective families are strongly encouraged to attend an Open House event held at Montrose Christian School (MCS). In addition, campus tours are available by appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9 and 11 AM.

  2. Application Form

Complete and submit the Montrose Christian School Application Form or apply online. Please include the $250 non-refundable registration and processing fee.

  3. Student Record

Complete the Student Record Release Authorization Form and return it to the applicant's current school in order to authorize the release of the applicant's current school records to MCS. The applicant's current school will then forward the requested information.

  4. Student Recommendation Forms

Since the evaluator is instructed to send the confidential form directly to MCS, it is suggested that the applicant provide a stamped envelope when requesting for the completion of the recommendation forms.

  5. Admissions Testing

Entrance exams are administered at Montrose Christian School. Testing lasts approximately three (3) to four (4) hours. Applicants must contact the Admissions Office to sign up for testing. The following Saturdays in 2012 are scheduled for testing:

    • Saturday, January 7th, 9 AM
    • Saturday, February 4th, 9 AM
    • Saturday, March 3rd, 9 AM

Should the test date need to be changed, applicants will be given notice.

  6. Campus Day (optional)

Campus days are offered on designated days when school is in session. Applicants are given the opportunity to participate in our daily academic program and experience the welcoming Montrose environment. Since applicants will be spending a full day on our campus, they are asked to be in dress code (similar to the school uniform) and to bring their own lunch. The Admissions Office will help you in scheduling and coordinating this day.

  7. Family Interview

A family interview will be scheduled once all application materials are received. The Admissions Office will help to schedule your interview. We ask that both parents attend the appointment. Prior to the interview, please read either our Elementary School or Middle/High School Handbook.
