MONTROSE CHRISTIAN CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER
We're so please that you have shown an interest in the Montrose Christian Child Development Center (MCCDC). Our programs are biblically-based using the ABeka curriculum. We believe that "children are a heritage of the Lord," and we take seriously the trust that is placed with us to provide programs that are responsive both to the child and family. MCCDC provides a number of programs that strive to meet the needs of children from six weeks through four years of age.
Our Staff
Montrose Christian Child Development Center is a ministry of Montrose Baptist Church which employs members who have been called by God to teach young children. A deep love for children and their families reflects a love for God. Presently, we have a staff of 30 teachers and aids. Most of them have ninety-hour certification recommended by the Child Care Administration. Many have their bachelors degrees. They are dedicated to providing the very best care for your children.
Our Center
For infants through fours, we offer year-round care in a colorful and loving environment. Days include just the right mix of lessons, free play, movement, and creative activities. God's love and values are affirmed for all ages. We begin at 7:00am each day, providing the hours necessary for working parents. Our children are served a morning snack at 9:00am which is followed by "circle time." It is during this time that the children say their pledges to the American and Christian flags followed by prayer time and a preview of the plans for the day. Age designated playgrounds are provided for outdoor play. Parents are to provide lunch and beverage for their child. Children are taught to pray before each snack and mealtime. After lunch each child naps on their own designated cot or crib depending on age. Light blankets and cuddly toys are encouraged to enhance nap time. At 3:00pm another snack is served. Throughout the year, individual classes take periodic field trips to destinations such as: Puppet Theatre, Pumpkin Patch, Library, etc. In the summer, we have water play days. Parents are invited to spend as much time as they would like with us. For those working nearby, you are cordially invited to have lunch with your child whenever you wish. The Center closes at 6:00pm each day.
Our Curriculum
The ABeka curriculum sets the standard of excellence in academic material for preschools. ABeka is dedicated to providing quality education from a Christian perspective. The bold colorful books of word skills, numbers, writing, and art enhance their readiness for learning in a fun and creative manner. Christian character traits are taught in an inviting way.
Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the children entrusted to our care in a safe and nurturing environment, to magnify the Lordship of Christ Jesus, to exemplify God's love, to communicate with and provide support to the families we serve.
