Greetings:Montrose Christian Lower School has been committed to providing a quality education set in a strong Christ-centered environment for children in Kindergarten through Fifth grades since 1977. All of the staff at MCLS view teaching as a special calling from God. Each staff member has a heart for young people and a passion for excellence in the educational process.
Our Mission Statement says: “Montrose Christian School, a diverse, caring community, provides a Bible-based liberal arts education to equip our students to fulfill God's purpose for their lives.” With this Mission Statement guiding us as we start out the year - we are even more committed to making this year one that will be memorable to your child. Each child is looked at as an individual who was created for a special purpose in this God's world. Preparing children to make a positive impact upon our world is forefront in our program. The world of tomorrow will be directed by the students of today. Our educational program strives to challenge children in all academic areas. Reading, Mathematics, Science, Bible, Social Studies and many enrichment courses (such as Computers, Art, Music, Spanish, and P.E.) help prepare our children to be successful in Middle School and beyond. Our Stanford Achievement Basic and Complete Battery test scores are ranked in the top 60% to 90% of the National Averages in all areas.
