Admission Process
Applicants will not be considered for admission until ALL of the following steps are complete (unless otherwise specified):
For All Applicants:
q Complete tour of school (student is not required to attend the initial visit)
q Return completed application form, along with a current photograph and non-refundable $250.00 application/testing fee, to the Admissions Office Attention:
q Register for a testing date
q Have the student’s current school send a copy of all transcripts, standardized test scores, and immunization records to MCS.
q Schedule an interview with the Principal for your child’s grade level.
q If applying for financial aid please read the last page of the application carefully. Forms are available in the Business Office or apply online at www.nais.org/financialaid/sss. Complete the form ONLY ONCE and request the report be sent to all prospective schools. Also, submit a letter to the Business Office stating what you feel you can afford in tuition as soon as possible and your request will be considered when the SSS report is returned to us. Deadline for all requests is February 24, 2007.
K-5th grade applicants:
q Have CURRENT homeroom teacher fill out one Student Recommendation Form. The teacher must return the completed form directly to MCS. Forms carried by parents or guardians will not be accepted.
6th-12th grade applicants:
q Have CURRENT Math and English teacher fill out the Student Recommendation form. The teachers must return the completed form directly to MCS. Forms carried by parents or guardians will not be accepted.
q Schedule a date for a student shadow visit – this step will only happen when all other application materials have been submitted. (6th-12th grade applicants only)
All steps of the Admissions process must be completed by February 24, 2007 for consideration of acceptance by March 30, 2007. Applicants will be notified in writing of acceptance. If the student’s application is accompanied by a Financial Aid request, final acceptance may be delayed until the financial aid documentation is complete. You may inquire with the Business Office at ext. 215 with questions or to check the status of an application only when acceptance has been offered. All applicants completing the process after February 24th will be considered for enrollment, as space is available and given aid as available based on need.
